    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Probably simplest to get the latest .zipfile (Snoopy69's Sonoma zipfile) and use that (with the latest SMBIOS, which will let you run 14.3). That will require new serials and such, so wise to sign out of any and all Apple accounts before doing all of this, and become re-read the documented...

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Just a question: are the original BIOS settings (in post #1) still accurate? If we update to the current, latest 3005, I think some options have changed; is there wisdom in posting a super quick vLatest summary with 3005 so everyone's on exactly the same page?

If I am understanding correctly: 1. Get the normal PC / Snoopy69 EFI and modify it to suit with SMBIOS, serials, etc. as per the norm for the past few years. Overall recommendation is (I'm asking here...) iMacPro1.1 now, or MacPro7,1? I think I've seen both. 2. Then, once that's all...

Or one can just use Intel WiFi (common on newer boards) or can just skip wifi altogether, for a simpler Sonoma experience.

Pls be aware that the simple act of opening, then saving, that config.plist with OCAT fixes that error in Validate. OCAT just handles it, and it does a host of other cool stuff too (like effortless upgrades to later OC releases), automagically. Think about grabbing it. Always work from a...

[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

Sorry to ask the blindly obvious to Davinci Pro pro, but ... if you jump on a Mac and run those same workstreams, you _do_ get 100% CPU and 100% GPU? Edit: Newbie on dvp; just reading some forums earlier today to see what's accellerated.

[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

Ultimately the solution: 1. DP: Must be lower case. In all but my last test round it was, but for the start of the last test round when we had the solution, I made it uppercase, delaying the solution. 2. BRG0 File Setup: Download the OpenCore default, and simply change the mentions of...

[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

Alas, but with the attached brg0, no change. :(. Any other ideas? I'm working from a USB stick (in case of error, fallback to known ...acceptable... SSD EFI). I have the config.plist changes in DP section that I used with previous setup: and ..which seem fine... And I have the ACPI...

[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

Reviving an old thread, my i5-12400F and Asrock B660M-HDV went (poof) after a PSU issue. PSU was replaced under warranty; no such luck for the MB and CPU. Now I'm trying to put the 6900XTXH into the older i7-8700 / Asus Z370-ITX (BIOS 3005). I can boot into MacOS without doing anything; the...

Frequent Restarting and Shutting Down Issue with Ventrua

Latest BIOS on the Z370N? 99dC is pretty hot for a 9th gen Intel CPU. Is there correlation between crashing/reboots and the upper end of that temp? Does it crash in Windows if you run CPU stress tests?
