Hi RehabMan, Just to let you know, I recently bought a new monitor with DisplayPort, and then the problem is gone. It seems the driver only works for DisplayPort.

I turned on the debug mode, and saw that the generic patch had patched 9 times. If the patch has effect, should I expect to see 4 frame buffers in ioreg? I've never seen 4, but 3 only.

I tried the generic patch with 0x19160000 before, not working. I tried it again a few minutes ago, nothing changed, no desktop. This time I got an ioreg file for it, via remote screen. The config file contains two 4-display patches, only the generic one is enabled.

Yes, I understand that. I probably forgot to change ig-platform-id to 0x19120000 in config-1912.plist this time. I have tried ig-platform-id 0x19160000 with 1916 SKL 4-displays patch, and 0x19120000 with 1912 SKL 4-displays patch. No luck so far. Sorry for the misleading file names

Because it cannot get me into desktop, I am using config.plist without FakeID and ig-platform-id. It's interesting that clover decided my ig-platform-id should be Haswell if not specified. I guess there is a workaround. I will try to make a ioreg file via remote screen in config-1912 booting...

The required files are attached. I am experimenting things, so there are a bunch of configs in clover folder. I manually choose the test config file when booting. Please take a look at config-1912.plist, that's what I am testing now. Thanks!

The "10.11-SKL-1912000-4_displays" patch does not make any difference. Probably just because it is for 10.11? I don't know how to do this in Sierra for 19120000
