Sorry, forgot to update, managed to get it working by using a USB 2.0 hub, cheers for the help.
It now only detects my installer USB for the installation of macOS so need to figure out why my SSD isn't showing up.
Whenever I try to boot from my USB, it loads the Apple logo up, then after a while gets stuck on a white prohibited sign. After booting in safe and verbose mode, it also hangs on the white logo, but now with a screen of distorted text.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks
I managed to successfully create a Unibeast installer, but when I went to install macOS Mojave from the drive, it gave me a black screen, and when booted in safe and verbose mode, it kept hanging at this row of ++++.
Any ideas what the fix could be?
Hi all,
I've recently been looking to purchase a new laptop for uni work, mainly coding and CAD (SOLIDWORKS to be specific), but also wanted to dual boot the laptop with macOS Mojave. I'm currently looking at this laptop here...
Hey there all!
Seem to have run into a small issue - every time I restart my PC to get into the BIOS, my monitor only turns on when the screen has reached the windows login page. I have disabled fast boot, but still cannot get this to work.
Any ideas?
OK progress has been made :)
Except now I get to the apple logo screen, freezes and 5 seconds later crashes. It gets up to the stage of 'using reloc block: no, hibernate, no'.
Sorry for dragging this out :P If it is my GPU, surely removing it from the case, installing everything and then...
Apart from safemode, am I good to use the other flags? I'm also about to remake my bootable USB to include NVIDIA driver injector things (option near the end of Unibeast). Should I do this or leave as is?
OK, I've tried booting it up with -v -x -s nv_disable=1, changed the iMac 17,1 to iMac 14,2 in clover bootloader options itself, but it seems I don't have any USB 2.0 ports. Is it crucial that I have one, or will it work with USB 3.0 as well?
Hi P1LGRIM! Thanks for the reply, but I'm not sure where to change the system definition. Also, if there is no support for the 10*0 cards, where can I disable them to use merely the Intel HD graphics?
Thanks!
Hi all,
Sorry to bother, but I've just managed to finish making my bootable USB installer for El Capitan, but I keep getting this message when I boot the OS X from my USB, or I get a black screen with a grey circle and line through it. Please help :(
Regards.
