You're much more experienced than I am. I even fail at understanding if the boot process fails what might have gone wrong. From my setup details can you estimated "least amount of work" it might require to get up and running compared to using desktop?
Well - signatures are there to help. But the goal always is to keep track of the tuple (OSX version, hardware, working items / problems, boot config) so that people with hardware can lookup what they could make different.
And from that database you eventually could derive configs on the fly...
Isn't the way to go to fix the rules (sticky main link on top of tonymacx86.com)?
And that _rules_ page is referenced below the "submit this post" button as well.
The text there is:
[1] (headline): UNLIKE OTHER INTERNET COMMUNITIES, THESE RULES ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED
[2] (below):
Signatures...
The signature is the bare minimum now as suggested by rules. Only CPU and graphic card. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.164990/ for instance talks about boot loader and manufacturer as well. Was it fine to post the dmi decode output about boot loader...
Your guide talks about BIOS being important, the _RULES_ on top doesn't list it in the signature, so pasting it here.
dmidecode lists the following BIOS information:
Handle 0x0000, DMI type 0, 24 bytes
BIOS Information
Vendor: LENOVO
Version: 3JCN24WW
Release Date...
You're guide says "read the Readme" -> so your note adding a / should be placed in the README evetnually or you could append the / to the link? I'm very glad about your guide - also because the 'unibeast installer' got into the way by not finding the disk or don't know - I had to reboot often...
The guide is - great - answer many things I had to find out myself (eg how to format a disk on OSX using disktuil), but its hard to find from the menu, for instance its not referenced by top level menu installation guide. Bitucket downloads are gone, do I need to compile FakeSMC.kext...

Can you tell me where to find documentation about how to do this ?
