I often hear people ask "what can I edit 4k video with?" and I feel like the question really should be "what can I RENDER 4k video with quickly?"
You can make a cheap laptop edit 4k video well if you are using 540p proxy files. With that said - rendering times won't benefit from a proxy...
Successful upgrade worked for me only after I plugged my drive into a SATA cable rather than the USB sled I was using. Pretty obvious, but maybe that tip will help someone!
This is the same thing that is happening to me. After Effects, and also in Final Cut Pro when using a GPU accelerated plugin (not sure if that is CUDA). Hopefully we get some answers or upgraded drivers soon!
I've been having system crashes when I try to export After Effects projects using CUDA GPU acceleration in 10.12.5.
I am not having any issues when I try to export projects without GPU acceleration. Any ideas?
In case anyone else comes here with this issue it is well documented: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solving-nvidia-driver-install-loading-problems.161256/#Problem2
I'm getting an error when I try to install these drivers on 10.12.5 saying that the installer is not supported with the package.
Anyone know of a workaround to this? A way to get the 10.12.4 installer? Or a way to manually install?
This looks great. It's almost identical to the build that I just drafted today (also my first). Keep us updated with how it goes we may run into similar issues!
