    wildwillow's Dual Boot Skylake Build : Asus Z170 Deluxe - i5-6600K - GTX970 SSC - 32GB RAM

I'll enable CSM again and disable multi-monitor again so I don't have to wait with connecting my 1440p monitor. I'll make a new thread on the Graphics forum and hopefully find a solution. Once again I just want to say thank you so much for all the help! I really really appreciate it!

    wildwillow's Dual Boot Skylake Build : Asus Z170 Deluxe - i5-6600K - GTX970 SSC - 32GB RAM

I tried another HDMI and it was the same problem. I didn't expect a faulty HDMI cable since the same cable works when connected to the 980. But something strange happened today. When I woke up today and started the PC, The screen would go black after the apple logo was loading at 50%. I had the...

I attached the IOReg now. Not sure if I have set up power management before, but I did a test now using the AppleintelInfo.kext from tonymacx86's thread and I got this in the bottom of my terminal: I also turned CSM on again now again and so far no black screen. So right now I still have igpu...

    wildwillow's Dual Boot Skylake Build : Asus Z170 Deluxe - i5-6600K - GTX970 SSC - 32GB RAM

The system seems to be stable now, but it doesn't look like the Quick Sync feature of the iGPU is working, at least not in Final Cut Pro X. Here are a few stats for a 1080p 30fps video with 7 minutes 30 seconds long. Hackintosh with GTX 980 Ti: 7min 50secs Hackintosh with iGPU: 7min 27secs...

I'll edit the CSM in a few minutes, but right now testing out the stability of the Hackintosh with my own EFI again. Yesterday I got a reboot after a few minutes, 2 minutes after i started an export in final cut pro x while using my own EFI folder. Will do a few more stability tests now and see...

    wildwillow's Dual Boot Skylake Build : Asus Z170 Deluxe - i5-6600K - GTX970 SSC - 32GB RAM

UPDATE: I changed back to my original EFI folder, installed the 530 from multibeast, rebooted and now it shows 1536MB in my VRAM. I think this is correct now. Also, i don't notice the screen tearing anymore.

    wildwillow's Dual Boot Skylake Build : Asus Z170 Deluxe - i5-6600K - GTX970 SSC - 32GB RAM

So I switched DVMT to 64MB, and my PC hasn't shut down about 10 minutes now (hopefully I don't jynx it like the other 2 times). But I still only see 14mb in VRAM when I check about this mac. I feel like this is the reason that OS is slow right now and screen tearing. The Launchpad is super slow...

    wildwillow's Dual Boot Skylake Build : Asus Z170 Deluxe - i5-6600K - GTX970 SSC - 32GB RAM

I set up my settings exactly like yours in the first post. My BIOS might be different, though, I'll check that later. Also what I meant by super laggy is that the screen stutters and is choppy when changing from window to window, and especially when opening the app drawer. I'm not at home...

    wildwillow's Dual Boot Skylake Build : Asus Z170 Deluxe - i5-6600K - GTX970 SSC - 32GB RAM

It seems to work better, but it has some issues. It's not going to a black screen after 5 minutes anymore, but the whole OS is super laggy compared to before. It still says 14mb in my gpu, but it lags when I even open the app drawer. Also, I had to use my USB installation to get into the os...

    wildwillow's Dual Boot Skylake Build : Asus Z170 Deluxe - i5-6600K - GTX970 SSC - 32GB RAM

I think it worked! The clover boot seemed strange tho, it was like a Christmas theme? Anyways, it got me into the OS with the igpu. But when i check about this mac, i only see 14mb, I'm not sure how much VRAM the 530 has, but it's gotta be more than that? It says in "Intel HD Graphics 530 14...

    wildwillow's Dual Boot Skylake Build : Asus Z170 Deluxe - i5-6600K - GTX970 SSC - 32GB RAM

After disconnecting the hdmi on the 980, i can get to the apple logo screen, but like yesterday, it reboots after a few seconds. Its random, sometimes it reboots right before the apple logo, sometimes a few seconds into it. EDIT: For the first time i saw a kernel error, but it went away in a...

    wildwillow's Dual Boot Skylake Build : Asus Z170 Deluxe - i5-6600K - GTX970 SSC - 32GB RAM

No worries. I am getting a black screen on both monitors again, and I see the bios screen (where you can click F2 or DEL) for 1 second, on my monitor that is connected to the igpu, but then the screen goes black and it comes back again after a minute or two. It keeps doing that, now I can't even...

I'll set multi monitor to enable, but in my Primary display, there is no iGPU, I only see Auto, IGFX, PEG and PCIE. I assumed that i had to choose IGFX.

I am using Clover configurator, I'll try XCode instead. I'll try that config now, but should I have only one monitor connected, or can i have both of mine connected to the 980ti?

    wildwillow's Dual Boot Skylake Build : Asus Z170 Deluxe - i5-6600K - GTX970 SSC - 32GB RAM

It's weird, it seems like Clover is not saving some of my settings in my config file. Like I can see my ROM.MLB system id, serial number etc in clover, but some of those are not in my config.plist when I open it with the text editor. Anyways I typed XXX on the variables that I saw in text...

Is there a way to private message you? As I don't see any of those (MLB ROM etc) in my config files. Not sure if its safe to just upload the file here?

    wildwillow's Dual Boot Skylake Build : Asus Z170 Deluxe - i5-6600K - GTX970 SSC - 32GB RAM

I installed the Multibeast intel HD 530 and edited the config. Then I changed my bios settings to iGpu and enabled multi-monitor support. I put my HDMI cable from monitor to my motherboard HDMI, and the Pc started normally. Then during the loading screen, after halfway, the PC rebooted itself...

Man, you're a legend! This was my first time building a Hackintosh and it was so easy thanks to your great guide! I notice you have a different build now with a different motherboard. I see in your first post that you got sleep working, but I assume that was on El Capitan. Mine doesn't seem to...
