So @MacOrDie , thanks for the awesome guide. I followed your guide (with some modifications) and I am happily using my ASRock H170M based Hack pretty regularly now. It has no major issues, except the same one your face. I've done your troubleshooting and am using your DSDT, and so now it reboots...
So @RizzlaPlus , thanks for the awesome guide. I am using my ASRock H170M based Hack pretty regularly now with no major issues, except wake/sleep. It basically reboots out of sleep. Any chance you've figured it out? I'm continuing to work on it and hope to figure out a solution, but I welcome...
Honestly I don't think it would be that hard for NVIDIA to add Pascal support to the macOS driver because this exists already:
NVIDIA FreeBSD drivers w/ Pascal support - http://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/105346/en-us
I wish they would release the source code so we could attempt...
Reading through this thread and the "[Guide] 10.11+ USB changes and solutions" thread, I have had trouble finding my answer to this question:
I have an h170 motherboard, with 8 USB 3.0 ports (6 back panel, 2 front panel) and 1 internal USB 2.0 hub (connected to the USB2.0 header) that all USB...
I saw some interesting things in this post - [Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake H170N-WIFI
I'm specifically interested in trying these two items:
- IntelMausiEthernet driver rather than AppleIntelE1000e
- Custom Power Saving SSDT for my processor
What do you think?
Thanks for the quick reply. I'll do some research on my own and "fingers-crossed" maybe one thing or another will work. I'm just glad I've got the machine booting from SSD, because at least restarts will be quick! ;)
@cmn699 - Okay so then how is JSAlvarez running both cards (960 in MacOS and 1080 in Windows) - [Success] JSAlvarez's Skylake Sierra Build - GA-Z170MX Gaming 5 - i7 6700k - GTX 1080 & 960
Have you tried swapping card placement in the PCIe slots on your MOBO? I've heard that MacOS needs to have the graphic card it will be using in the primary PCIe slot.
I'm a newbie and I'm having trouble finding the answer to this question:
How do I know if my system's default implementation of _PLD and _UPC are broken? What's the best way to test that?
Thanks and sorry for the repeat of a question if this is alr day answered elsewhere.

Hey so I was looking through the Buyer's Guide (January 2017) for Skylake processors, and couldn't find an mATX motherboard that has thunderbolt ports on it. Does this exist, that would be hackintosh compatible? Can anyone suggest a board? It really needs to be mATX or mini-ITX to fit in the...
So I'm looking to build one of my first Hackintoshes and I'm looking at building a low power model to be used in this case:
Realan Mini-ITX Case w/ Power Supply - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA9TW3JJ4790
Because the case just looks so cool! So I'm asking is the Intel Core...
