Just noticed something. I removed both DSDT.aml and ssd.aml from CLOVER/ACPI/PATCHED and audio still works fine. Is patching necessary at all?

The audio kexts (AppleALC.kext, Lilu.kext, HDMIAudio.kext) can also be loaded with Clover instead of installation in /Library/Extensions/. I prefer to do it that way just to keep all the hackintosh kexts together.

I think I'm doing everything correctly but the output device is still not detected. Could it be because I'm using a CMT and not the SFF version? Is it working for anyone else with the CMT?

I never used it because its a fresh install. Yes to /L/E. Going to try downloading and installing again. Yes. Going to try patching again. Yes. Don't have USB plugged in nor any other hard drives. It says "No output devices found."

My audio device is still not detected. Any tips on how to troubleshoot? How do I know if the DSDT.aml is even being used? I used your config.plist file and that didn't help.

Is the slowdown from the 3.06 BIOS with the spectre patch noticeable? Also for the i7 3770, is it better to generate ssdt with ssdtPRgen.sh or use F4 when booting?

Thanks but I'm still not sure I understand. My USB ports were functional without renaming. I have to use the AppleIntelCPUPM (previously called AsusAICPUPM) patch to boot, but don't see that in the instructions on page 1. Are you guys able to boot without using that flag?

What is the purpose of renaming these? I haven't done this step and my USB are working. Is it to get USB 3 speeds?

My 8300 CMT's ethernet port seems to be on its way out. With a short cable speed falls back to 100Mbps. If i connect with a long cable (100 foot), the ethernet connection turns on/off constantly. Its the only computer to do so. What's a good ethernet NIC to use if have to go that route?

I just inject those two kexts with clover instead of installing /Library/Extensions. It worked after I changed permissions to allow the kexts to be executable.

I just put the two .kext files that come with the voodoo hda installer into my /EFI/clover/kexts/other folder and it works.
