Can you tell me the exact command you used? I'm trying to do it with setup_var2, the value changes but has no effect I still get the kernel panic and DVMT doesn't change... I have almost the exact same system, even the same variable 0xD9.

Hey RehabMan, sorry I took some time away to try to understand things at my own pace. Anyway, I got the installer to detect my hard drive and installed el capitan ( boy was I an idiot :D ). Right now I have all my OEM SSDTs in clover minus one that caused a usb panic (SSDT-8.apc) and DSDT.apc...

But I'm not even trying to use that, I have 2 hard disks the NVMe and normal SATA one.

Ok sorry about that, I got them fixed. The earlier panic related to USB was because of something under DropTables in the config, I've removed the array for now until I test them one by one. I've attached the EFI folder as per your guide, still same issue can't see hard drive, and the report.txt...

My internet access is kinda limited right now so so I can't download any linux distrib, will this picture from aida64 do?

Ok, I made it to the installer, the combination of USBInjectAll.kext and USBXHC_y50.kext got me through. Disk Utility is not showing the internal drive however,,,even though I have the SATA-10-series-8086-a103.kext in clover. Thanks for sticking with me :)

It's a USB hard disk,,does that make a difference? Is there somewhere I can start reading about the usb problem to get started? Edit: I'm using a config.plist from your github repo now (the 520,530,540 one) got a panic,,,can you help me?
