Problem solved!
If anyone is interested: I found and removed the file HDAEnabler1.kext from /S/L/E and all of my audio problems have resolved. I'm not sure what that file was for or when I put it there... I'm guessing from a previous audio fix.
Still no luck getting AppleALC working for the integrated ALC1150 audio.
I do have an audio workaround.... I found an old Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 PCI board kicking around. The Kx Audio driver Mod is here...
I recently upgraded from High Sierra to Mojave, but the audio device is no longer present.

Thanks for your help toleda! I didn't realize that the Realtek ALC1150 was a 100 Series and unsupported. I was stuck on selecting ALC1150 in MultiBeast.
