I replaced quite a few components for testing. An old graphics card, even changed the mainboard, hard drive... Also in Windows, HWMonitor showed some fluctuation in voltages.

It actually turned out to be a faulty PSU. Took me quite a while to figure that out. Anyway, High Sierra is running perfectly now.
