Thanks so much for this. I had the same issue - ethernet worked on initial boot from installer, but stopped after Multibeast (and also b0rked ethernet on my Win 7 partition - how did it manage that?). I used the chown solution.
Rookie error - I was editing the wrong config.plist, I hadn't mounted the EFI volume :/
The attached does get me to the desktop without issue but I haven't worked out sleep/wake yet.
I've attached the one I'm using. BUT I don't know Clover well. I get this issue http://www.tonymacx86.com/snow-leopard-desktop-support/123471-kernel-panic-startup-unable-find-driver-platform-acpi-ioplatformexpert-cpp-1378-a-2.html#post952344 if I just let it boot, I have to go to Clover options...
Confirmed the screen freeze issue with the brix i5-5200U is fixed with El Capitan, I'm using the GM version and Clover 3259. I followed the guide at http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-desktop-support/167901-how-create-os-x-el-capitan-public-beta-installation-usb-using-clover.html, not having...

based on http://www.firewolf.science/2015/04/guide-intel-hd-graphics-5500-on-os-x-yosemite-10-10-3/

I have the BXi5H-5200. I cloned my desktop 10.10 install because I'm a web developer and I have a ton of server stuff spread throughout it. After cloning I wiped S/L/E, installed the 10.10.3 combo update, ran Multibeast with Chimera 4.1 and it's been running fine.
I have my DVMT set to 64...
