Hi,
I just installed Sierra on a Gigabyte Z170x-Gaming 5 with 6700k processor. Install went fine but now booting into the installed system I get a kernel panic at USBMSC Identifier (non-unique). There is no option in the BIOS to disable USB 3.0, and I already have XHCI handoff set to Enabled...
Hi, I am trying to install Sierra on an i7-6700k and gigabyte ga-z170x-ud5. Clover starts up fine, but when I select the installer partition to boot from all I get is a row of plus signs, like "+++++++++++++++++++++++" .
I turned off VT-e in the BIOS, I can't think of anything else that would...
I did before, I believe I got a line of plus signs, I re-made my installer USB but haven't had time to run it in verbose, I'll report that when I do. Thanks
Hi,
I can boot into Clover fine but when I choose the install partition all I get is a black screen.
I did have to copy the contents of the USB to a hard disk partition because the USB partition wouldn't show up in Clover. Could this be the problem?
Or is it possible to use Chameleon to boot...
Actually I got a new mobo, and an i7-6700k. I believe it uses an asmedia SATA chip, although Clover can see the other drives just fine, not USB. I got a drive partition set up as an installer drive, but when Clover tries to boot it just gets a black screen.
I tried putting HFSPlus.efi in the folder but it still doesn't show the installer partition. It shows my old installation of Yosemite though, just not the USB installer partition.
Hi, I made a USB installer with Unibeast but when I boot from the USB there is no option to boot from the partition with the installer (partition USB). Any ideas?
Well I tried with the legacy USB now but still restarting. Unfortunately I am unable to see the issue as it restarts before I can read it. So not sure what can be done.
Hi,
I'm trying to install but it keeps restarting when I start the installer. The bootloader menu loads, but after I try to launch the install partition it restarts.
Thanks
