nullcpu worked for my oc'd i5 rig, geekbench went from 4k to 11808. SSDT didn't make a difference, even with choosing the OC'd flavor. Thanks for the advice!

I have tried tuxera and another one called paragon but both programs caused my hack to have fits. Perhaps it is just my build, but beware! I am looking at alternative storage solutions, possibly a NAS or something.

If you are looking for a budget build, +1 on the i5 2500k suggestion. It will save about $100 and for a $20 cooler master 212+ heatsink/fan, you can overclock it to 4.5 ghz and it runs cool. Dat's budget, son!

While you are buying new stuff, I would also suggest buying a better heatsink/fan. I got a cooler master 212+ for $20, it's huge (3x the size of the stock one) and very quiet. I also purchased a second fan for $5 and attatched it to the included brackets, so there are 2 fans working on my cpu...

I have a freshly overclocked i5 2500k to 4.5ghz stable w/ low temps in windows (see sig for build details). Lion is my primary OS and I have been running benchmarks. When running cinebench I noticed that my i5 only has 2 cores running! Is there something I need to do to enable the other 2...

Just as a side note, this adds about 30 seconds to my boot time before i even select an OS to load. After I choose OSX or windows, it boots in about 8 seconds with my ssd.

My Unibeast hack is working great, but I dual boot constantly and would like to fix an annoyance. When booting, there is a part that says "Loading Operating System ...................." literally about 20 periods, then the menu loads for me to select my OS that I want to boot from and all else...
