    [SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

I have no idea about GT920M, and about Pascal -> no one knows that, except nvidia. Even Apple may not know ! Nvidia is in the process of hiring more developers for the mac platform, which is a good sign, but not a promise for pascal support. Pascal might very well be supported in mac OS, but...

    [SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

I fear that Pascal support is gonna take so long that by the time it will eventually comes, we will all be lurking at AMD Vega support, which promises to be a monster (faster than the Tesla P100) At this point, I'm about to build 2 machines, one for windows (gaming), and one for macOS...

    [SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

Electricity is cheap, 1 KWh is like 0.1$ in the US, 0.2€ in Europe. Do the math. If you can afford those cards, you can definitely afford to pay the electricity bill

    [SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

No one knows. As someone already said, it could be next week, later, much later, or even never. A second hand 980 Ti seems to me the best option as of today, as it's equal to a 1070 and slightly cheaper while 100% supported.

    [SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

Thanks guys ! Much appreciated ! Now I just need to figure out why the hell I have no video output from the motherboard until the OS (win/macOS) is loaded. If anyone has an idea, please share it ! :banghead:

    [SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

I already have a fully supported GTX 680 in my hackintosh. If I add an unsupported GTX 1X00, will its fans spin at max speed all the time ? If I remove the GTX 680 and just use the IGPU and a GTX 1X00, will its fans spin at max speed all the time ? Thanks.

Look at ebay, get an EVGA one as their warranty is transferable to the new owner unlike all other brands

macOS Sierra PB: Need testers for new AMD Radeon drivers!

Never had a problem with my GTX 680, but ready to switch team if AMD can provide drivers that are at least on par with nvidia ones !

macOS Sierra PB: Need testers for new AMD Radeon drivers!

Don't fool yourself, the only ones able to make it work are Apple/AMD, not us... That's their decision. Just look at the AMD radeon compatibility thread, it's a god damn mess... Nvidia compatibility is much more consistent. And they have been upgrading their "web drivers" all the time, unlike AMD.

macOS Sierra PB: Need testers for new AMD Radeon drivers!

You summed it well ! Apple won't provide, and crappy AMD won't provide either... They just don't care. Nvidia will surely provide as they understand the hackintosh community needs some love, as they did in the recent past years. At least, I hope they'll keep doing it. Fingers crossed... As far...
