Did you end up getting the board to work in Lion (or Mountain Lion?) I ask because I just picked one up and I'm getting ready to set it up and was wondering if you ran into any issues along the way. Did you get HDMI audio working?
let me know,
thanks

I gave it another shot using the F10 BIOS update before installing Mountain Lion. Post install I am having the same issue of recognizing my graphics card; but it picks a device ID of 0. I have two ideas (will attach IOREG next week when I am back home with my desktop);
1.) Try plugging the...
As stated in the most recent guides if you read through carefully HDMI audio is controlled from whatever device it is going through.
For example my setup has an analog audio receiver with HDMI input/output. My setup is Computer > Receiver > HDMI port on my monitor. The receiver has to be...
haven't gotten any headway just gave up for the moment. I plan on getting a Z77 board at some point and will probably pursue it at that point. I'm most likely getting a ASUS Z77 Sabertooth.
Re: Windows 7 doesn't show up on my Chimera Bootloader
with some persistance I got things working. Not entirely sure what I did differently but after many reformats windows 7 is running and is seen by my bootloader. Although I didn't figure out why I was having trouble I was able to learn quite...
Re: Windows 7 doesn't show up on my Chimera Bootloader
RAID is configured through my RAID card, I used the web interface on the mac, though the web interface is cross platform so it doesn't really matter. Formatting was initially done in disk utility as well as partitions. Right now I have a...
Re: Windows 7 doesn't show up on my Chimera Bootloader
Ok so right now with a barebones install of Windows 7 my bootloader sees it, here is the error when I try and load it:
Non-system disk
Press any key to reboot

Re: Windows 7 doesn't show up on my Chimera Bootloader

Re: Windows 7 doesn't show up on my Chimera Bootloader
I have 6 drives for storage; that was the main purpose of my RAID card. My SSD's are linked as 3 and partitioned because I wanted a bit more space on the mac than the drives allowed. In the past this worked with 32 bit windows but my...
Hi all,
After having my hackintosh for several months, I've decided to invest in Skyrim & Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning for a little gaming on the PC side. I had windows configured before, but it was a 32 bit copy. I've currently got a 64 bit copy installed and working; however, there is a...
thanks, I have tried all 3 of those. My motherboard doesn't come up with the HDAU part if I do my DSDT edit, so unless a new DSDT modification comes out for my board that works, I think I am out of luck with that approach. I'm not knowledgeable enough about DSDT editing to figure out another...
Hi all,
My rig details are in my signature. I'm interested in getting HDMI audio working. I've been told the standard method for DSDT editing will not work with my motherboard. I'm wondering if anyone is using the same board and has succeeded in getting HDMI audio working. I've been suggested...
Ok so if I am correct the Voodoo versions are all in multibesat. I have tried each and every version with no luck. I can't see the HDMI port via any of them in audio MIDI.
I get this message every time I open the preference pane:
Error! Wrong Channels Number 0..24
Any suggestions? I'm...
Is the latest version of Voodoo on multibeast or do I need to download it from somewhere else? Also what configuration is necessary (if any) once installed to get HDMI audio working via voodoo?

hmm are there alternate methods to get HDMI audio working with my board? I've contemplated getting a different board when native Thunderbolt hits the shelves anyway so theres a chance that it will just make sense to swap then, but for now is there any other methods? Maybe a software method to...
think after zipping my ioreg info it worked. Also attached a copy of my DSDT. Any help would be much appreciated thanks. I got the HDMI audio working on the windows side so I think its probably possible. I was able to achieve it in windows by opening the included nVidea software and changing...
So I did a fresh DSDT. I put the edits on the instructions, this is as far as I got. I can't see HDAU when I search in IOreg. GFX0 does come up correctly. PCI0@0 only comes up once now though.
13. Note device-id, this your HDMI Audio Device_id; save for later.
any ideas?
