I finally got this working :) I used IntelBacklight and added the AddPLN flag in Clover Config (page 2 in the ACPI fixes). So backlight and sleep all work now.

I have a similar issue however I just have the AppleBacklightFixup kext and no DSDT patch. The computer I believe sleeps via software but will take a little bit to wake up. If I close the lid display turns off but I dont believe it's sleeping rather the screen is just off. Without the DSDT...

As for your little graphics issue, you need to set the DMVT prealloc to 0x03 (it wont show in the bios dump thing) but set it to that anyways.

I went for 4K because of the touch screen. Did the SSDT method patch fairly easily. Hopefully, I did it right. For 100% iStats is estimating 5 hours.

I know my battery life is bad because I only got about one and a half Stranger Things Episodes before it died.

Long sleep is broken yeh, short times seem to work fine (5-10 minutes). How's your battery life? Mine isnt very good. I kinda think the dGPU is still on.

Didn’t need to. I was missing a SSDT patch. Now everything is working perfectly.

Also have that issue. I added the GPIO patch so I believe it requires the pinning.

Likewise I also cannot boot. I haven’t yet done the pinning but I’ll do that now.

So looking at the settings macOS is setting the touchscreen as a trackpad and i can customise the gestures etc. Just the actual trackpad isnt doing anything.

Thanks for this, I have everything working but trackpad. DSDT is patched and in the /Clover/ACPI/patched folder along with the kexts in S/L/E but no beans. Did you need to do anything else? EDIT: Got touchscreen gestures working but no trackpad function. Battery also works.

TBH, that was the easiest part. What issues are you having? Not recognising the USB drive? Booting but not able to install? Install failing? Got it resolved and installed, the dGPU wasn't being disabled properly. Just need to get trackpad working.

Trying to compile my DSDT and only have this error: "Syntax error: Unexpected PARSEOP_NAME, Expecting $end and premature end of file." Not sure how to get past this one.

I made a bit of progress, I got it installed onto my ssd but when I boot the final installation to the setup screen it freezes after a second or so then a second later reboots the laptop. Someone suggested I need to set platform ID but unfortunatly doing so won’t allow the device to boot.
