Well thanks for your help. It's too bad I was unable to get any further. I have been trying to solve this problem on and off for months.
I will continue trying to figure out how to disable the thunderbolt controller with an ssdt. It seems there isn't much info about disabling thunderbolt...
Thanks again for the reply.
After searching there is no way to access hidden advanced features of my bios.
Looking at your other suggestion, I believe I have found the proper information about the thunderbolt in order to disable it via custom ssdt, however, I am unsure of how to proceed in...
Thank you for the reply.
There is no option to disable Thunderbolt in the bios unfortunately.
I made the changes you suggested but installer still hangs at the same spot.
Any other suggestions?
Hoping someone here can help me identify the problem I am having trying to install BigSur on an Acer Swift 3 SF314-57-59EY. I tried to get this to work a few months ago, and recently tried again.
To begin I would like to be able to boot to the usb installer. I have been following the...
@RedRogue I have the same motherboard and processor as you. I updated to Catlina with no issues. I have attached my clover folder, it may help you. It has ssdts for a custom 15 port USB layout as follows
Side note. I'm not sure but there may be some sleep issues though with my config. I...
Just leaving some diagrams of the port layout and ssdt's used in my Gigabyte z390 aorus pro motherboard and NZXT 500 tower. May be helpful for some one searching in the future if stumbled across.

I adjusted my mappings to the 15 port hard limit. I have attached a report file below, I am hoping someone while look at it and tell me if there is anything else that should be done. The system seem very stable, would appreciate any advice if there is something I should do that I have missed...

Hello all. I finally decided to buy and build a decent hackintosh. I have reached the point of attempting to create a custom ssdt for my usb ports. Got through testing all with a USB 2.0 and discovered what HSxx they use. Moved on to testing and mapping usb3.0 ports, but none ever come up...
With the release of Mojave, I attempted to upgrade my 8200. Didn't get far at all. The app store tells me my purchase can't be done on this machine. I assume this is because the 8200 is being identified as a "older model" which Mojave has dropped support for. Is there any way to correct...
I was reinstalling Sierra on my 8200 with a gt710. For longer then I care to admit, I could not fully boot from ssd. Signal loss would occur during boot. I could not figure it out. Turns out if using gt710, a iMac 14,2 smbios is needed. 12,2 smbios results in signal loss during boot.
May...
Hello again.
I have been reading rehabman's guide to clover hotpatching recently when I have the free time. I have enabled "IRQ fix" via clover now. I am going to start trying to figure out how to disable my AMD via hot patching also very soon.
I went to double check if the AMD was indeed...

Got "vanilla" audio working. IRQ fix enabled it.
-Patched DSDT with IRQ Fix
-copied LiLu.kext and AppleALC.kext to EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other
-enabled com.apple.driver.AppleIntelFramebufferCapri options in kexts to patch (Entries where already entered in preconfigured config.plist. Thank you...
