    Holy crap I think it worked. Thank you so much for the tip of pressing F11 at the clover menu. I didn’t find that through all my googling but it got me past the disabled screen! I appreciate everyone’s help and patience.

    I’m working on that now. Isn’t the NVRAM just a file in the drive’s EFI folder? Wouldn’t that get nuked when I made a new install key?

    So I’ve booted from my windows drive and zeroed out my target drive. Made a brand new Catalina installer with Unibeast on a different Mac laptop, booted from it, and still got the same disabled screen with “Hi Dummy” at the bottom. I’ll try scrambling the serial number on the installer again but...

    Yeah, I went to iCloud. Couldn’t find anything there about a six digit pin.

    I checked it against the Apple Service site and it said not valid, so I don't think this is a number from a real mac.

    Well dodgy indeed. Sorry I left out the hardware profile, I'll go complete it. I downloaded Catalina from the App Store on my Mojave hackintosh.

    I just made a fresh Catalina installer with Unibeast from my hackintosh running Mojave. It boots from clover and let’s me choose the installer partition and loads through a couple Apple logos and then comes to this screen asking for a six digit passcode to unlock this Mac. I’ve never seen this...
