Really hoping this means the new Samsung 960 is supported natively! Currently running off of a 950 right now but have to deal with boot duplicates. Does anyone know if the Samsung 960 works with the same NVMe kexts and solutions that members (myself included) are currently using for the 950...
Hello everyone,
I am currently running a 6700k and MSI R9 390 in El Capitan using the guide in this thread.
I should note that using this guide only I was only able to get HDMI port from the graphics card to work at 30 hertz (at 4k), but I am completely fine with this.
There is another small...
Hi! I have a very similar build with the Gigabyte 170n Gaming 5 and 6700k as well, but installed with the previous version of both UniBeast and MultiBeast. I have issues where I have duplicate UEFIs, which I have to delete manually in clover. Have you run into this issue at all? Did you install...
Hello,
I have the same graphics card, but was only able to get the HDMI port working (I tried the Display Port to no luck, the DVI ports I haven't had a chance to test). Were you able to get the Display port working? I would love to be able to export 4k at 60 hz!
Thank you very much for the reply!
EDIT to post below: I found out that I need to put the NvmExpressDxe-64.efi file into the new system. Booting is working now, but EFIs in BIOS are still duplicating every reset. Will continue to look into this.
Hi Stork,
Thank you again for the amazing thread. I'm currently running the...
Hi Florian,
Thank you very much for the write up. I'm planning on doing a FCPX build on an mATX board (inside the BitFenix Phenom :) ) so this is very useful for me! Incidentally, I've also read your post about AMD card compatibility, as I'm trying to learn more about AMD cards and their...
Awesome. Thank you so much for the prompt reply! Really appreciate it.
Will do some more research on power / voltage and visit a few local stores, as well as check out Fl0rian's guide for AMD cards. Do you mind telling me specifically which 280x model you went with?
Will also double check to...
Hi Stork! Thanks for such an amazing write up! I'm thinking of the following build for editing in FCPX, do you mind if I ask your thoughts?

Processor: i7 6700k
Cooler: Corsair H60 (water cooled)

Rob,
Thank you very much for your prompt reply. I'll be sure to use the information you've provided in this thread for my build! Again, very much appreciated.
Hello Rob,
Thank you very much for the informative and detailed post.
I use FCPX semi-professionally on a 2012 MBPr and am looking to upgrade to a Hackintosh to speed up my workflow. Incidentally the main issue I'm having right now is real-time color correction rendering done through the...
