I do, but I have the core m3-7y30 variant so I have Intel graphics 615. You need to look for the graphics number of your igpu, you can find it with the tool “hackintool”.
Furthermore, I gave up atm to get an acceptable working hackintosh. After doing some research, the keyboard, camera and...
Have you found a solution to the keyboard yet? I have the first gen surface laptop but both are very similar (and I have the same issues as you). It's a shame the keyboard doesn't work since the trackpad works so well.
I used voodooi2c and voodooi2chid. I’ve been trying to get the keyboard to work, but didn’t solve that (yet). The surface line seems to struggle with the keyboard on linux too, but some made it work on other surface products on macos. Maybe we need to do some research there, as i’ve tried...
chances are pretty low that you’ll find one on the internet that works for this laptop, unless it is specifically this laptop (or maybe, just maybe, the surface laptop 2). So I suggest you read the guide. I’ve done it before on another laptop, and finally succeeded after some days of tinkering...
Also, if you want to try with an usb hub, you should leave the device Identifier to iMac and not change it to macbook, since then it refuses to power usbs on the hub (at least, thats with that apple keyboard)
Ive already tried the voodoops2 kext but no luck with that. I’m trying to get it to work with the voodooi2c and voodooi2chid kexts. I made some ‘progress’ with that since the keyboard backlight lights up when i press a key, it just doesnt do anything in MacOS. Graphica are fixed now though, if...
You think so? AFAIK they work with i2c and thus require patching; Anyway, I'll give it a try, and here's the EFI folder. It has probably some unnecessary kexts and drivers, but hey, it boots (with fake gpu id of course).
Okay, got to the installer with fake gpu id, now I'm back at where I stranded earlier: the keyboard and trackpad don't work and with just one USB port, that sucks
So I used some random efi folder from the internet and it got past the ++++. It still gets a kernel panic though, I'll see if I can boot, and figure out which thing helps to get past the +++++
It shouldn't be that hard to do, I remember getting to the installation screen, I just don't remember how to solve the issue for getting further than the +++++. I'll give itt a shot agaion today but I don't have that much time since Ihave exams.
Hey,
Since this evening I'm also trying to get past the ++++ screen on my surface laptop (core m3 variant though). I'll keep you updated if I find the solution. I've got it to boot to the installation screen before but that was a long time ago. Now, since I've gained quite some experience (full...
So I made this a while ago and picked this up again yesterday and upgraded the exising mojave installation to catalina with no issues. I wanted to share my work with you as it might come in handy for others.
I am no expert in this, this is just the result of lots of hours spent trying to get...
