Had not noticed that board before. Thanks for the heads up.

Does Asus have a similar board?
I think I've narrowed it down to two boards:
Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero
Gigabyte AORUS Master
A quick Google search turns up some comments that the Asus Hero is not the same quality as prior Hero boards and that they're fudging some of the specs or what they're marketing about the board.
Any...
I was running Mac OS on a couple of Dell machines back when Apple first started transitioning to the Intel platform. Had a Dell Dimension 8400 desktop machine that ran Mac OS and my daily driver laptop was a dual boot Windows XP / Mac OS Dell Inspiron 1500.
I've kept an eye on the scene over...
I studied the motherboard list here. It seems the most popular Ethernet chipset on the recommended boards is the Intel I219-V and the most popular sound is ALC1220 and ALC887. Are those considered the best / most hackintosh compatible?
I'm replacing my Windows PC that has a Gigabyte motherboard and Intel Core i7-2700K from 2011. I'd like to build a near state of the art machine without going crazy. I'm thinking an i7-9700K and Z390 motherboard.
It will mainly be used for Windows gaming and some productivity. I'm a Mac...
OK, looks like there's been a known issue with the 5700 and 5800 series cards for over TWO ****** YEARS. Here's a few highlights from a 20 page thread where this has been discussed.

Are you sure this works? I'm talking specifically about outputting over Displayport to a 27" iMac in Target Display Mode.
Edit: I should add, I'm running Windows 7 on the PC.
I've been killing myself trying to get this to work. I bought this card:

SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100283VX-2L Radeon HD 5770
When connecting the cable the PC screen flashes, the iMac goes black. The PC screen continues to flash while it's trying...
Been studying these boards for hours tonight / today. Come down to two choices:
GA-Z68XP-UD5 $270
+ more electrical power / heavy duty type features
+ fast powered eSATA 3 (6GB) ports
GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 $160
+ built in VGA, DVI and Displayport ports (could use without graphics card if / when...
There's 23 models and you can only compare 10 at a time. I may try that when I get home on my big screen.
Here's a summary of their codes according to their website for Socket 1155 / Z68 motherboards. There's really only three groups of codes to be concerned with.
Group 1:
GA-Z68xx (Gigabyte...
I'm looking to build a new machine and want to use a Gigabyte board to be able to have Hackintosh compatibility.
I'll probably go with a Core i7 2600k or an i5 2500k. Want a decent board with good features, maybe in the $150 - $200 range. I've narrowed down my selection to Socket 1155 / Z68...
