My Sony VPC-Z2 sports a 1080P display that's connected via displayport. Via trial and error I've determined it's connector 1. When setting up the table (and exhausting countless combinations) I get a quick blue flash before the desktop comes up and then a blank screen - with the backlight on...

That second error looks an awful like the error you get when trying to use a non-legit version of OSX. You do have a real, retail, copy....right?

How did the AIFB.kext help you with your Nvidia graphics??? I have an nvidia only vaio that I am struggling with brightness control.

There is no support for mobile ati right now. It is not going to work. The driver not found issue is usually caused by not using a real retail SL disc....

Try voodoohda for audio, and there are touchpad drivers in multibeast as well. Sleep is a crapshoot...start with the dsdt fixes. Either way there is no working solution for gma hd currently so you are probably wasting your time at this point.

Buy an actual macbook. You'll drive yourself crazy trying to get a laptop set up correctly with sleep and long battery life, etc.

I don't think ANYONE has gotten the GMA HD kexts to work on hackintosh yet. Have you seen otherwise?

Tony - it is true. I have done some work on those kexts myself and they are not working for me nor anyone else. those drivers are tied in pretty closely to the 330M drivers. So, to answer OP there is no working solution for his graphics yet...and no signs of any real work being done on them...

The only GPU osx supports in your model is the Nvidia. Issue is in last year's and earlier sony's it was impossible to get the internal display to show ANYTHING once drivers were loaded. Anyhow.... Boot with tonymac CD in intel graphics mode. Install osx. Install 10.6.3 update. Install...

You cannot use those kexts. You have Intel HD Graphics (aka GMA5700). Again, nothing is working on that chipset yet.

There is not yet support for the Intel HD Graphics. So your experience would be very poor even if you did manage to get it working.

That model has integrated graphics, right? You can launch dvd player and it doesn't give an error? And the top menubar is translucent? If so I think you'd be the first GMA HD user with it working that I can find...
