the battery stat on the top menu bar on this laptop always dissappears after restart, and i have to go to system preference to turn it on every time. It does seem to read the battery level correctly once its turn on, but does not update. is there a more perm solution to this?

Incorrectly created USB was indeed the issue. Got Windows 10 installed on a second partition on the same drive successfully. Thanks rehab

I'm having an issue where when I plug in the power cable the laptop immediately restarts. There is about a 2 second delay and the screen just goes dark. Nothing gets printed to the screen to know if its a kernel panic, or something hardware related (mobo restarting to preventing surge?) anyone...

could you elaborate? why can't I create another paritition and dual boot windows from there? I didn't go the second HDD route and i'm having problems installing windows (usb installer not getting picked up). Is this due to a bios setting used when installing OSX?

I think two finger forward/back is a great feature to have on a laptop! atleast in browsers. I never find myself using it way more than horizontal scrolling. Could i put though a feature request? Thanks rehab!
