Applying the DSDT fix and also applying the USB patch fixes this problem!:D sidenote: is applying patches multiple times bad for the DSDT?

I also seem to have this issue, however it doesn't always happen. In the Console, my wake reason seems to be "Wake reason: EHC2 XHC", USB related? I never had this issue on a previous install of 10.11, perhaps I missed a DSDT patch for my USB... I will try to apply a patch and see if it fixes...

Problem solved!! :D:D:D I started with Mirone's kext, then figured out which "[Fixed] Microphone" was actually the right pin. Only things I had to change were my patched codec commands from linux and change the incorrect pin numbers. In case anyone else is looking for a kext that works with...

I find that your guides lack images which strangely contributes to how clear they are. As for the HDA Spec, i'll definitely look into that. wish me luck

Okay, I have no idea what I did but it now works.. I think I opened up my .dsl file and patched the Haswell Brightness fix and for somereason it worked this time. I now have smooth backlight on my laptop with El Capitan... thanks RehabMan!
