    I did the proper USB fix and updated to 10.14.1 from System Preferences successfully without problems. The only glitch I have is that for some reason I need to reconnect my USB MIDI keyboard after reboot for it to be recognized. I didn't even try it before the USB fix and update. I am not sure...

    Many thanks for this, chef. I got my parts and built this now. I did not do any "proper fix" for USB but things seem to work just fine as is. I have an i5 8600k, overclocked to 4.8Ghz just because it was easy and temps are about 70c on prime95 being very quiet with the Noctua cooler. 16GB of...

    Hello, I just wanted to chip in that I am in the process of rebuilding my hackintosh. Have been with a i7-2600K and a legacy BIOS motherboard for what must be 6 years or so. Got kinda annoyed that I need to go through a strange two-step Clover selection at each reboot (due to Legacy BIOS maybe)...

    Pheww.. Did an upgrade from Mavericks and was stuck with this problem on my Gigabyte P67A-UD-3P-B3. This helped and I can now boot normally!
