Yeah :( OK, so I tried creating a new stick. I'm using dart=0 nv_disable=1 npci=0x3000 -v and Fix USB option is ticked in the options, and I get stuck on PCI Configuration Begin. If I don't tick Fix USB, I get this attached screenshot.
Any suggestions?
Did you have to do anything special to get the installer to load for your mobo? I have the same Gigabyte and I tried using the Skylake Stater Guide with a Unibeast created El Capitan USB stick. The furthest I can get is PCI Configuration Begin by using dart=0 nv_disable=1 npci=0x3000 -v and tick...
Bump.
Halp? I've tried different boot flags including different variations of -x npci=0x3000 npci=0x2000 cpus=1 and I cannot for the life of me get the installer to even load.
Hey,
Apologies in advance for my noobiness. I'm trying to install El Capitan on my new Skylake system but I can't even get to the installer.
Unibeast works successfully, and creates a bootable stick. I replaced the config.plist (with the modification in the Starter Guide) and the...
Hey Tony, thanks for all the work you've been doing to get full Skylake compatibility! Did you hear that directly from Gigabyte or is that a probable rumor?
Hey Dave, thanks for replying. I don't have a problem waiting, I'd just like my hardware to be Hackintosh compatible at some point. Q1 2016 isn't that far away, I can stick it out with Windows :)
I did see something about that for the GIGABYTE mobo, but also that some people thought it wasn't...
Hey guys,
My MacBook is on its way out and I've been looking into building a Hackintosh for video editing. I know Skylake testing is still ongoing, but since all the programs/apps I use are multiplatform and I have a deal to get the 6700K for less than a 4790K it doesn't make a ton of sense to...
On MacRumors users confirmed the public beta of 10.11.2 has the same build number as the dev beta. So I wouldn't expect much to change from the the public beta now being available.
I actually had a similar question to the OP. My Macbook is on its way out, and I'm getting a huge discount on a new 6700K that makes it cheaper than a 4790K. I don't mind running Windows 10 until Skylake is fully supported.
Does anyone have an educated guess on which motherboards will likely...
Hey guys, I'm putting together my first Hackintosh build after my MacBook crapped out on me. I will be using this mostly for music production and video editing; not so much for gaming.
I haven't been keeping up with graphics cards technology. The EVDA GeForce GTX 970, GTX 960 and the GT 740 SC...
