    New 8700K Build - Parts Check/Opinions Request

It was/is confusing for me as well. Hell, I think everyone is just about as confused as the next person. Ultimately what I did (after finding this diagram) was to put mine underneath the GPU. I have had zero heating issues, and it's working fine there.

    New 8700K Build - Parts Check/Opinions Request

I honestly cannot tell a difference with xfinity internet. But be aware, I bought the Gaming 7 for it's VRM solution, not for the Killer hub. The Bluetooth card for me, was more for iMessage as I have the whole home cabled for wired connections. The card I ended up using was the one linked...

    New 8700K Build - Parts Check/Opinions Request

Almost the same build I put together with a few minor differences ... Samsung NMVe drive (no issues), NVIDIA card (it's using web drivers but functioning well post install), and I used a Seasonic 850 modular power supply, and I did the Broadcom/Adapter for my handoff, iMessages, etc...

    macOS 10.13.4 Security Update

Updated via the App Store with no issues. System did report that old NVIDA drivers were incompatible following the update, but they did install flawlessly using NVIDA's driver update.

Recommendations for Buying Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth Combo Chips/Cards

I have that card, and in Windows the Bluetooth is working perfectly, but for the life of me, the Device Manager cannot find the update for the Wifi from these folders.

Continuity and Handoff Capable Apple Mini Cards + PCIe and mini-PCIe Adapters

Hey guys, thanks for the good read, but man it seems that connecting these WiFi Adapters and cards can be rather hit and miss, so before I make a mistake, do these items mesh together and work well for builds? Broadcom Bcm94360cs Bcm94360csax Bcm4360 Bluetooth Bt Wireless Wifi Card Module for...

Aorus Gaming 5 or 7 or...?

Thanks for the nod! I spent a lot of time mulling that choice over. Lot's of digging, and whatnot to make sure the extra expense made good sense. In fact, I am doing that with every piece that I buy, so the process for me as been pretty slow, with intent, and hopefully well thought. I think...

Aorus Gaming 5 or 7 or...?

For me, the boards were very close, and hard to decide on. Ultimately, I spent the extra $40 some odd dollars and picked up the Gaming 7. It just has a better VRM in it (they implemented Intersil’s new 60A Smart Power Stages, 76A inductors that you usually see on Xeon builds, and a new digital...

Compatibility/Shopping for graphic card maker variants (Gigabtye, MSI, etc.) question.

Yep, I agree. Problem is, I found the answer buried deep in another one of these threads (off topic answer), and I couldn't remember where it was. Long and the short is ... the maker variant should not be a problem, so I hurried up to Dothan, AL from PCB FL and grabbed a Founder's Edition...

Compatibility/Shopping for graphic card maker variants (Gigabtye, MSI, etc.) question.

Hey guys and gals. Did some digging, but did not find a specific answer to a question I had. Perhaps you can help. When shopping for video cards does the maker variant (ie, MSI, PNY, ASUS, Gigabyte) factor in to known compatibility to the macOS, or is more about the NIVDIA chipset and Pascal...

Nvidia GTX 1080 FE for $549 on March 23, 2018 -They'll Go Fast

First post here, and I want to thank you in advance. I have been shopping video cards as the first step in building a Hackintosh, and was searching these forums this morning to see if my question had been previously asked -- "I notice NVIDA brand chips are not listed in the shopping list with...
