After a time of using MBA M1 16gb I dont really wait for 6800xt drivers, just bought thunderbolt-displayport cable so I can work on 35 inches 21:9 monitor, and it performs really good on 3440x1440 144hz, only thing I dont get why they limit it to only one external monitor when there's no...
On windows davinci resolve with 6800 XT I'm getting fever as its so unstable, I felt like working on my old laptop with gtx860m was much better. Free or studio version worked same as bad. Project loading takes forever. And I'm only on SSD's I dont know whats the cause but its painful when...
I know what do you mean, I've got installed big sur with my rx6800xt but on 144hz monitor its really annoying to use it. I'm not sure if it works so good for me on graphic side.
Your setup looks pretty good! Very compact one, nice job!
Make dual-boot dont struggle with driverless hack. Mac w/ WSL or Manjaro linux would do job for non-windows environment.
Personally I can't return my M1 , its too good to use.
I kinda agree, I had to write bot for local stores to catch one as it showed up.
But overall I think acutal situation is a bit dufferent than with 5000 series. The codes of big navi cards are there and the 11.3 beta should come soon.
To me 11.3 will have support of 6000 cards that can come in...
I agree, and I was doing it from very long time as I had only laptop (y50-70) that worked with hack out of the box despite dedicated gpu that was pain in the a$$. When RX drivers will come I'd swap my main work on Hack, working on 21:9 34' monitor is just perfect (not even talking about gaming)...
Honestly now I'm more like waiting for better support for Apple Silicon than RX 6800 XT support. MB Air M1 is something so great to use and work with (despite some minor sompatibilities with IDE) that I'm actually using my PC to play some rocket league matches in breaks in work. x)
I wanna add that on my setup with 6800 XT and DP output works well even if its 3440x1440 - laggy without acceleration but no additional glitches etc. But HDMI output doesnt work. I don't know if its cause lack of full support but big sur doesnt even see monitor on HDMI plug.
Notice that Apple fully supporting eGPU for AMD cards - atm from rx 570 till latest ones.
It's definitely boosting sell rate of macbooks as you can have fast and nice looking productivity device and later on you can plug eGPU and stress out playing games on bootcamp.
But after all still...
