Ughh... As much as it hurts after spending so much time working on it, I have no choice but to give up now.
It's not a possible workaround to carry a mouse and WiFi adapter around with me all the time so I guess Mac isn't going to be an option at the current time.
Do you think it will get...
I see, guess I'll just use my WiFi adapter then.
Any reasons you can think of why I still can't boot without my Clover USB plugged in? You even said that everything seems fine in the HDD Clover files.
Installed the ELAN kext for the driver found here, and now the trackpad is working but its effectively 'throwing' the cursor in the direction I move it, until it hits the corner of the screen.
Judging by that article it doesn't look like the trackpad issue will be able to be fixed.
That's kinda a deal-breaker, as I never use a mouse with my laptop and carrying one around with me isn't an option.
Nevermind I understand what you mean, this is all starting to click in my head finally. That's done, now checking if the bootloader is working without the USB in.

Okay bootloader is installed to HDD, now I restart without the Clover USB in and boot from HDD?
Oh just saw the edit and I didn't know that...
How would I go about doing that again?

For the first step of installing the Clover bootloader, this is where I had issues previously.
Do I follow these settings?
For Clover UEFI, run the Clover Installer package:
- if using MBR, select the target of the install to "CLOVER EFI" using "Change...
Speaking of... What config would you recommend? I have been using the 'config_HD4600_4400_4200.plist' config previously, does that sound right for my build?
