Can i use the igpu with the 1080 or will i need another HDMI cable? will it be able to push video and audio though the 1080

I don't use airplay and have discrete GPU, i have disabled integrated graphic is there any reason i should keep it on. Is there any advantage keeping it on. I turned it off thinking it might lessen heat and or power consumption therefore increasing efficiency.

Could you show us how to do this it seem complicated thanks.

I am also getting this but computer works fine yosemite 10.10.3. I have a i5-4460. i also dont know if i am doing something wrong.
