I have installed first version of the supplemental update. I did not receive the second one because the first was installed fine (a clean install), so I have downloaded the updated Catalina app, re-created the pen drive and made a new fresh install, to get the latest Catalina.

When you said about the CPU not being supported, you refered to the telemetry plugin blocking Catalina from running or Core2Duo?

Issue solved, it was something to do with patching the IDE controller. However, I have not solved Cataline yet, due to a glitch in the graphics. But that is another issue.

Tried to install Catalina using this kext. It failed as before in ”Stil waiting for root device”. Also tried the hotswap with the pen drive on all the USB ports, it did not work.
