[Guide] Lenovo Z50-70/Z40-70 using Clover UEFI (10.11)

If, by "this model", you meant the Lenovo Z50-70, then the answer is no. Otherwise, read post #1, "Problem Reporting".

[Guide] Lenovo Z50-70/Z40-70 using Clover UEFI (10.11)

There is a BIOS option that changes the behavior of the Fkeys - called "Hotkey Mode" - try changing that.

[Guide] Lenovo Z50-70/Z40-70 using Clover UEFI (10.11)

The same thing happened to me a few months back, when I was using Paragon HFS+ for Windows 10 on my desktop PC. It's handy to keep at least one time machine backup or just cloning the disk after initial installation is done, so you can simply restore it instead of going through all of the...

[Guide] Lenovo Z50-70/Z40-70 using Clover UEFI (10.11)

Updated to 10.11.6 via the Combo Update - everything went well, and the system continues to work exactly like before. I didn't need to re-patch anything.

[Guide] Lenovo Z50-70/Z40-70 using Clover UEFI (10.11)

Thanks, RehabMan! The first patch didn't change anything for me, but applying the second one instead did the trick. (wake on lid open doesn't work, but I assume it's the expected behavior with this patch)

Yes, that's exactly what I wanted to achieve. (I've removed the _PRW patch from my config before collecting.)

I was trying to implement something like what you did in this patch in your repo: https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch/blob/master/misc/misc_Lid_PRW.txt That's as far as my DSDT patching-related "expertise" goes, so I can't really answer this question.

[Guide] Lenovo Z50-70/Z40-70 using Clover UEFI (10.11)

After reading through the whole guide, I've found a post from you mentioning that instead of patching the DSDT, we should rename the _PRW method, because this guide uses Clover ACPI hotpatch, so I've written a patch for this to my config.plist. It looks like this: EDIT: I'm referring to this...

[Guide] Lenovo Z50-70/Z40-70 using Clover UEFI (10.11)

Don't know how that got messed up, but I've re-downloaded the latest beta version of ssdtPRGen.sh, and regenerated my SSDT.aml, and it got it right this time. Still, my problems persist without renaming _PRW.

[Guide] Lenovo Z50-70/Z40-70 using Clover UEFI (10.11)

UPDATE: Renaming the _PRW method via Clover seems like the solution. Everything works perfectly, except for the lid wake (but it's expected, more info here). Hi! First of all, thanks for this awesome guide, almost everything works after following the steps in OP. The only thing I've changed...

My first CustoMac Pro build. It's compatible?

I have a slightly different config, same CPU, SSD and GTX 970 instead of GTX 960, and 10.10.4 works as a charm with the iMac 15,1 SMBIOS. I just had to use the NVidia Web Driver to enable graphics acceleration, and patch the AppleGraphicsControl.kext according to this post: Besides that, I...
