First applied SpeedStepper for 10.7.3 (to avoid kernel panic on AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement kext), then updated to 10.7.3. Works like a charm!
SpeedStepper thx to flAked (read it carefully, flAked says he is still testing it!)...
Hello,
I am dual booting OS X 10.7.1 and Windows 7. I want to be able to read and write from OS X to Windows. I found this nice little video as a guide/ http://cnettv.cnet.com/read-write-ntfs-os-x/9742-1_53-32399.html using MacFUSE.
It seems you have to unmount the Windows disk. Can someone...
I'm having troubles with artefacting... 8 GB installed, all 8 being recognized. Saying 512MB (which should be normal if > 4 GB I think).
Any way to use this to solve artefacting ? (Of course I could just take out some RAM but that's not convenient since dual booting with Windows...)
If you found out, let me know... I patched VoodooHDA 0.2.62 so that it stops looking generically for devices:
- remove key: IOPCIPrimaryMatch or IOPCIClassMatch (there's only one there but don't know it by heart and booted in Windows now so can't check)
- create key: IOPCIMatch with value...
Had that as well with Intel HD 3000 ! :o
Did a clean install of 10.7.1, followed by Chimera 1.5.3... Devices not bootable. Installed Chimera from MB 3.8.0, devices bootable --> even with the Intel HD 3000 injection which Chimera 1.5.3 should have
Up till now, no artefacting has showed...
- Clean install of Lion 10.7, succesfully updated to 10.7.1
- Installed Chimera 1.5.3 once OS X was set up
- Reboot
- Cannot find bootable devices!
- Rebooted into OS X with bootable USB
- Reinstalled previous Chimera (from MultiBeast 3.8.0)
- Reboot
- All operating systems (OS X & Windows)...
In the meantime & since it's nearly the same machine..
Dell XPS 15 (L502x): It seems the bios does not allow you to boot from a GPT drive. I found a good explanation on how to fix the USB installer so it can be installed on MBR drive, but which bootloader will work ??
I know AnVal does since...
Bought ASUS USB-N10, driver though did not work. Used driver from USB-N11 as one can find here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=18705&p=193674
Works perfect now, Thanks for the good advice ;)
Confirming that ecoarena's driver works in 10.7 with ASUS USB-N10. (These are drivers for USB-N11 though.)
Thanks !
ps: ASUS USB-N10 does not work in 10.7 with latest drivers from ASUS website, neither from CD that was delivered with it
Hey vladlenas,
I've been looking for a very long time for something like this. Only thing is, I have gt555m (1,5 GB VRAM = 0x6000000) with:
device id=0dcd
vendor id=10de
I have the PEGP section in my DSDT, how to adapt your code to make the gt555m work ??
Thanks in advance!
Steve's guide is very well explained and easy to follow, but keep in mind that every computer is different since it has other components so somewhere along the guide you will have to do otherwise than instructed. Every hackintosh is different (unless you have EXACTLY the same components).
