Tried using DVI input on card and monitor with some success, i.e., got the os to install, when it restarted I saw the apple icon on one of the internal partition options and clicked on that, still waiting for it to load. Will up date later.

I have configured the SSD to GPT, still the spinning color wheel of death.

I installed an old version of Linux, Ubuntu 14.04, didn't do updates etc, restarted and the UEFI BIOS could see the drive, did the install, go to grey screen and spinning color wheel of death. Some progress.

I reformatted the SSD using Gparted with an Ubuntu 14.04 CD, under try Ubuntu. I checked it in a Terminal window, was there. Bios still can't see it, under UEFI , it sees the Sandisk usb but not the SSD. Anyone have any ideas. Thank you OS

Despite having reformatted the SSD w Gparted, the SSD is not appearing by brand name under UEFI , or device number, eg, SATA0, I will try to reformat it again tomorrow w Gparted and see if it shows up under UEFI along w usb drive. Thank you.
