I'm having an issue where OS X freezes up randomly except my mouse remains movable and background applications keep using internet (I can tell that while seeing router lights, and few of my downloads where completed while OS X & Keyboard was frozen)

My Mac OS X won't shut down normally.
When I shut down, screen goes black and processor fan is still running. I have to force shut down after that. However restart works fine. How can I fix it?

I recently updated my 10.6.8 to 10.7.0
Got everything working.. I was happy :angel: .
Then I confirmed that its safe to update to 10.7.1, and did.. Now I'm not able to boot.
I'm not using Sleepeneabler.kext, I can't even boot with -x flag.
