Hey man, I appreciate all the help along with way with this project. I threw the towel in on the sleep and stability issues. It would crash and reboot for me even if the screens went to sleep. I needed it to be stable and didn't see a clear path towards success, so i returned all my parts and...
I gave up on the hackintosh :( I just couldn't get the power management right. Anytime it changed (monitors asleep, shut down, sleep, hibernate, screen saver) it would crash it. I feel bad about it because it was a fun project and the 4790K is a marvel of engineering! But I needed it to be...
I'm having the same problem:
MB: GA-Z97N Wifi
CPU: 4790K
Ram: 16 gig (2 x 8) DDR3 1600 Ballistic Sport
HDD: 3TB Seagate
Installation: Clover
When the machines tries to sleep, shutdown, or turn off the displays, it will cause a CPU panic and restart. I was writing about it on another thread...
I've been having a similar issue.
MB: GA-Z97N Wifi
CPU: 4790K
RAM: 16 GB (2 x 8 ) Ballistic Sport DDR3 1600
No discrete GPU
3 TB Seagate Hard Drive
I installed using the Clover installation guide and the HD4600 config.plist. Whenever my computer goes to sleep, or shuts down, or the screens...
Ok cool, I'll jump over to that thread. I may have an idea but I'll read the posts first to see if its already been said. Also, finally re-installed yosemite and did the correct clover_command_100.sh thing we talked about above... MAGIC! It worked! I didn't read the guide far enough and...
Hey jginsbu, thanks for the info. The SSDT seems like the right thing to do in debugging this issue. I'm really eager and curious to know how it works out for you! I'm traveling and away from my hackintosh but i'll be right behind you giving that a shot.
Sorry to pester about the audio...
Hey a couple of us having been discussing this board and OSX installation in a different thread.

So far we've had much more luck with Clover, but this is also my first...
Hey jginsbu, I also don't see those entries in my "pmset -g live". Truth be told I'm not totally sure why it seemed to help the sleep issue, but it did... at least for a few days. I'm traveling this weekend but when I get home I'm going to poke around in the BIOS, and re-install to see if I...
So i overwrote my original kext so i'll have to re-install everything. ugh
Probably just as well because ever since I connected three monitors my computer isn't sleeping good anymore. It used to sleep like a baby, I had it running for 2 days and would use it wake/sleep all the time. Not sure...
Thanks Heijningen, I'll give it a try tonight. I ran the "audio_realtekALC-100.command" 'but to your post maybe I need to run "audio_cloverALC-100.command" instead. Hopefully running the realtek one first isn't going to mess things up for me. I was dumb and didn't backup the original kext...
Thanks for the help. I reckon I have kext-dev-mode=1 in my config.plist file but I still can't get audio to work.
More about my setup:
MB: GA-Z97N Wifi
Audio: Realtek® ALC892 c
odec
In my config.plist file I've got the kext-dev-mode=1 now.

<key>Boot</key>
<dict>...
haha well if you want to pay it forward any help you can offer as to how you got your audio working would be great for me! I'm stuck!
EDIT
I'll be more specific about being stuck. So I have the same board GA-Z97N Wifi.
In my config.plist file I've got the kext-dev-mode=1 now.

Seconded, this is a GREAT guide! I have a different board GA-Z97N WIFI, but have been able to follow along and just change the kexts for network.
I have a question for you about the audio and the process. When I run audio_cloverALC-100.command I am getting the error
Encountered unexpected...
Hey I was playing around with the exact same setup today sans discrete GPU and SSD
Motherboard GA-Z97N-WIFI
Intel Core i7-4790K
16GB 1600Mhz DDR3 (8x2)
Seagate 3 TB
Corsair CS550
Its my first hackintosh, and I couldn't get mutlibeast to work well either! I too was getting cpu panic...
