I temporarily connected a 2nd monitor running off the iGPU that allowed me to see the boot properly. Now I know that when I press the power button after 8 seconds I need to press right on the keyboard twice then enter to boot into Windows.
Thanks for the help in this thread, I have managed to get my msi rx 480 working with acceleration on 10.12.2 on a dual boot with Windows 10.
The only issue I have is that I get a black screen on the boot menu until os x gets to the login screen. Will this always be the case of will there be a...
Hi all,
I had previously been using a GTX 660 in my Hackintosh running a 4k monitor @ 60hz over DisplayPort. I then purchased a GTX 1070 which I have not been able to get working due to lack of drivers. I am thinking of swapping the 1070 for an RX 480 as I would like to use the Hackintosh...
I manged to get iGPU working for OS X but after a reboot it would not show my Bios screen or boot selection on startup which is annoying. For the short term fix I might just add another monitor to use as the main screen in OS X then use my normal monitor as an additional one.
Fl0r!an - I tried to use it but the picture it displayed on screen using HDMI was broken up and unusable . I thought it might be because I needed to install a driver ? . Do you think it would make a difference using DVI or VGA ?
This weekend I installed a GTX 1070 into my 4k Hackintosh which I dual boot OS X and Windows 10. For Windows 10 it is working fine but in OS X I am only getting low resolution and weird refresh on screen as already discussed in this thread.
I still have my old GTX 660 which I tried to use both...
Is it possible to just install the update from the app store then run multibeast after? or does it have to be a fresh install using unibeast then multibeast after?

Thank you
I have the GTX660 running at 4k @ 60hz, I didn't need to do anything it just worked. Are you using the correct port? I had to use the DisplayPort on the card to the DisplayPort input on my Samsung monitor as that was the only input on the monitor that supports 4k @ 60hz.
The way to get my audio working was to install the non DSDT version the ALC898 driver from Multibeast version 6.1.
This installed and I had working audio but for some reason I had interferance noise coming from the speakers, I found a tip where someone said to use the front headphone port...

I'm going to be using a GTX660 soon for a Hackintosh build with a 4k monitor, can you confirm that when you run 60hz with that card if there is any screen tear or picture problems? can the card handle normal desktop use OK in 4k? I don't plan to be doing any gaming with it.
Also do you...
