done that too :) the version of OC I'm using on the sdd does not support flavours, but I set a bootable usb with OC 0.7.3 (latest) that supports flavour, even that didn't work This is so weird, the day i figure out what's missing, I'm sure it will turn out to be something really stupid :(

Update: I can boot using the CLOVER setup I already had on the EFI Partition. Everything works except the USB ports. I've read multiple posts on why USB on 10.11 doesn't work (and required fixes). What I don't get is how come it works when booting from Chameleon? and/or is there an easy fix...

ok, I got it working with the Enoch El Capitan guide, without a hitch. I have 10.11 working fine now. Will try and see if the Clover boot loader works now that it should be booting off my internal hard drive.

I'm assuming desktop guides wouldn't help with docking undocking laptop. I guess that's because the Optimus was disabled and it was only using Nvidia I guess I need to first get hd4600 working before investigating the docking issue
