So I tried to follow the main guide to upgrading to high sierra. I downloaded it from the app store, updated clover to the latest, copied the apfs.efi into the correct folder using efi mounter. Ran the upgrade, computer restarted, everything seemed to go fine, upon restart now nothing shows...

How do you do this if you have never installed the nvidia web driver before. I updated from 10.12.1 (with no web drivers) all the way to 10.12.6. I try to install the latest webdrivers and of course I now have too new of a version. These instructions seem to be if you had already installed it...

I have a gigabyte z97-udh5 with an ati gigabyte 6870. Everything was working fine under el captain but after I upgraded to sierra the apple icon in the upper left is an artifact and so are the small icons in the finder sidebar window. Under about this mac is says radeon 6xxx hd 1024mb...

Did you ever find a solution to this? I have the exact same problem with my ati 6870 and the icon artifacts.

Pretty sure its a v2 since its socket 1155 but it doesn't say on the actual chip.

So I have a Xeon E3-1230 chip that was given to me. I would like to build a new hackintosh around this chip. Does anyone have a preferred mobo that is known to work well with osx and xeon e series processors? I hope to move to osx 10.10 when it is released. Thanks in advance
