I've done that. I've used a 16 GB one. I've used new ones, old ones, 8GB ones. I've followed the instructions to the letter and I can't seem to be able to make an installer with Mavericks. I'm really frustrated with it!
I formatted the USB as required in step two. And it always seems to crash and fail. Sometimes with the not enough space error and sometimes with other errors that seem random and crazy no matter how much I look them up!

So, I've redownloaded, tried on different drives and other things as I've thought of them. I just can't seem to get Mavericks on a USB! Any thoughts on this?

I'd appreciate a suggestion on this too. I was able to get Lion working in everyway, except for my 8400gt. I tried the old EFI trick and turned Graphic Enabler on and off, but it didn't work. So, I'm back to 10.6.8 and wondering what a good card for 10.7 would be.
