My build is a bit tricky, cause Windows was on there first and I'm dual booting from the same SSD. That means an MBR patch was necessary. Does this disqualify me from any UEFI possibilities? I've tried disconnecting all of my hard drives except for the SSD, but I'm still left without an EFI...

I managed to find a way to convert my boot drive to GPT from MBR without any data loss or needing to format anything. It was through AOMEI Partition Assistant. Everything indicates success. Everything on the Windows 8.1 side anyway. Since this conversion, I haven't been able to boot into Chimera...
