I have my graphics back after replacing the config.plist and I ran the command in terminal. I did have to reinstall the nvidia drivers again for it to see my card though. :)

I don't remember needing to type "python". Did you retry just dropping the script in and pressing return?

The machine is no longer seeing my GFX card... How do I get it back? I have to use nv_disable=1 to see anything when I boot so maybe that's it but I don't know how to fix the problem

I had audio working, somehow with display port. My monitor has built in speakers and they were working without an audio cable. does audio go through display port? seems weird. I don't know if I want to edit config.plist just this minute if you are not sure it will work. I am so over working on...

I plugged monitor in to an HDMI and it booted. I a guess it WAS booting but not recognizing GFX. I screwed up the video drivers somehow, I guess. I was on DisplayPort. I am not sure how to fix that now? I used nv_disable=1 in clover to boot with. Doesn't seem to work with DisplayPort here...

It goes by fast and then just goes blank. I'm getting ready to reinstall osx but I don't know if that will help? if I erase the disk and reinstall, will that the fix that problem? I picked imac 17,1 because that was the only choice with "skylake" on the definition list
