    Audio Related Panic... Kind of?

Repairing permissions and rebuilding the kernel cache fixed the problem. I still do not have working audio in Sierra from an upgrade from El Cap but boots just fine. Config.plist has the patches and RealtekALC is in L/E but the kext is not being loaded. I get the same result if RealtekALC is in...

    Audio Related Panic... Kind of?

Downloaded the Sierra GM Candidate a few days ago and when installing the ALC892 kext/patches from Multibeast or the Toleda script I get the kernel panic in the image below. This is a home computer so the the main guts are: Asrock H97m Pro4 i5 4590 (using 4600 graphics/no video card) I haven't...

Attached is the config.plist I am using in El Capitan on this system to type this. You will see in my screen shot that I do not have any of the problems you described with displayed ram usage. All 24 GB are detected on mine.

Are you using Clover now? Clover Legacy works for me on my X8-DAL and it's interesting to see how it picks a few things up better than Chimera/Chameleon like the RAM model and serial number. Chimera always showed the BIOS ROM under memory and would not show the serial number for two of my sticks...

No. It is not necessary to change your SMBIOS.

Your USB controller shouldn't be a problem being ICH10R.

Try the attached config.plist. I don't see any problems except I added some more auto patches in case and changed the system definitions to Mac Pro 5,1 because these chipsets are closest to that system. Clover was using MacBook 5,2 as shown in your attached image.

Keep the discussions in threads so they can possibly help someone else with the same or a similar problem. If your kernel panic is from AppleUSBXHCIPCI can you tell me if you have any USB 3.0 cards installed? Even better give me a quick list of all your components. And attach your config.plist...

Make sure to follow all steps for the X58 setup in Clover. Just like in Chimera you must have selected npci=0x2000 and darkwake=0. You should still see the text as it boots for a while even if your not using an appropriate video card, but that being said, what video card are you using?

If there is one thing to complain about with my system it's the boot time. But that being said the motherboard, I'm sure, wasn't designed to be an every day computer. I don't know that mine is quite 3 minutes but I make sure it's the first thing I turn on when I get to the studio because it is...

I should have looked instead of assuming you had the same controller as my board. You have the Intel 82576. It might be possible to add the necessary info to IOPCIMatch in AppleIntelE1000e.kext but just searching Google it looks like that controller might not be able to use that driver at all...

Make sure your using appleintele1000e.kext. A small quirk I found with my board on Mavs or Yosemite with Chimera was an occasional kernel panic caused by that kext. Placing it in Extra, instead, resolved the issue. As a result, I leave that driver in the appropriate kexts folder in the Clover...

You have to get creative with the T4 mounting studs to make it work. The thread size is correct though. It has been roughly a year but I think I flipped the studs upside-down. The fit is not super tight so be careful not to push them around as you put the board in your case if you don't have it...

USB 3.0 PCIe Cards that work OOB in El Cap

Slate Digital still hasn't signed off on El Capitan so I'm still not using it for the work system that has the KT-4006 card but I did just install 10.11.2 to start prepping for when I can start using it full time. That being said, the KT-4006 does show up as available in System Information. I...
