    Mavericks AICPU Kernel Panic

After thinking about it some more, the only thing that verbose boot is doing is slowing down the boot process because it prints everything to screen. So, it's almost like the AICPU kernel panic is caused by my computer booting too fast...

    Mavericks AICPU Kernel Panic

I followed TonyMac's instructions to get my computer running Mavericks. It's a fantastic guide and I was able to get things working using the custom DSDT for my motherboard without much problem! Thanks tonymacx86!! The problem that I am running into is that my computer gives an AICPU kernel...

    GTX 480 Won't Boot Post-Install, Please Help

I have a MSI GTX460 on a Gigabyte Z68X series board so I had to use "GraphicsEnabler=Yes and PCIRootUID=1" to get my machine to boot the installer: --- "If you have a UEFI based system, such as Gigabyte Z77 and Z87, GraphicsEnabler=Yes may be needed for NVIDIA 9xxx, 2xx, 4xx, 5xx...

    GA-Z68X-UD5-B3 / 10.8 Success?

You said "Once into ML...." This is part of my question/concern. Did you run into any problems actually installing ML? Did you do a clean install or did you upgrade through the App Store in 10.7.4?

    GA-Z68X-UD5-B3 / 10.8 Success?

Has anyone had success installing 10.8 with the GA-Z68X-UD5-B3? My system is running fairly well on 10.7.4, but I get an occasional kernel panic and sleep doesn't work. 10.8 has native kernel support for the i5/i7, so I'm thinking that might help? Thanks!

    GA-Z68X-UD5-B3: No Audio

Your profile says that you have an Asus P67 V2 based system. Is this correct? If that's the case, your in the wrong thread. If it's not, you should update your profile. :) It helps those trying to help you. If you do have a GA-Z68X-UD5-B3 board, what BIOS are you running? I've had success...

    GA-Z68X-UD5-B3: No Audio

Alright! Nice work. Yeah, the audio kexts are installed in a separate folder. If you ever need to find where a kext is installed in the future, just select the kext in Multibeast and look in the details section below. It should tell you the name of the kext and what directory it is installed...

    GA-Z68X-UD5-B3: No Audio

Multibeast says that the kext for 892 is called "HDAEnabler892.kext" and it is installed in /System/Library/Extensions. I've never used the F8 BIOS so I don't know for sure, but since "HDAEnabler892.kext" comes after "HDAEnabler889.kext" in an alphabetical list, it is loaded after the 889 kext...

    GA-Z68X-UD5-B3: No Audio

I agree with ijhu, your Audio ID should be 889, not 892 if you have the GA-Z86X-UD5-B3 board. I would suggest deleting the kext for 892 and installing the HDAEnabler889.kext (with System Utilities from Multibeast) and restart. Double check that System Profiler shows "Audio ID: 889". If it does...

    GA-Z68X-UD5-B3: No Audio

You upgrade the BIOS by running the .exe file and putting the resulting three files on a flashdrive. Plug the flashdrive in the computer you want to update and start the computer. At the BIOS screen, press "End" until the QFlash BIOS flash utility comes up. Navigate to the files on your flash...

    GA-Z68X-UD5-B3: No Audio

I may be building a Hackintosh, but I'd rather find a better solution to audio that running audio cables from the front audio jack into the line-in port to get audio working. Actually, I realized that I had accidentally unplugged the audio cable after the F7 bios update. After I plugged the...

    [SUCCESS] -Gigabyte Z68X-UD5-B3 - i7 2600k - XFX Radeon 6870

I have a very similar system (same MB, i5 2500k). Im running F7 bios and 10.6.8. However, I haven't been able to get audio working. What kexts did you install to get audio working? Thanks!

    GA-Z68X-UD5-B3: No Audio

Still haven't figured out sound. Since my last post I have upgraded to to F7 bios since some people with my board had success enabling audio after updating to F7. My system is working as it did with F6 / 10.6.8 but audio is still not working. I reinstalled the DSDT for F7 Bios, ALC8xxHDA, and...

    GA-Z68X-UD5-B3: No Audio

I installed the Apple HDA Rollback kext from MuliBeast, ran system utilities, and restarted. Still no sound. MultiBeast says that this is the 10.6.3 version of the kext... is there a more recent version of the kext from 10.6.7, that is known to work with Realtek 889, that I could roll back to?

    GA-Z68X-UD5-B3: No Audio

Ok, so I deleted the Voodoo kext and then installed the DSDT for my motherboard using Multibeast and ran system utilities. Audio devices now appear in System Profiler, but sounds still doesn't work. I have checked in System Preferences>Sound>Output that the correct channel is selected and that...

    GA-Z68X-UD5-B3: No Audio

Thanks, ijhu for the quick reply. I followed the guide in the link. I upgraded my BIOS to F6 (I was going to upgrade to F7 but I decided to follow the guide exactly). I then reinstalled OS X, upgrading to 10.6.8. Everything is running as good or better than it did under 10.6.7. :thumbup...

    GA-Z68X-UD5-B3: No Audio

I've been lurking for a while as I researched parts for my build. Now that I have my computer up and running I decided to start posting/contributing as I try to get audio, sleep/restart, etc. working. As I mentioned, I can't get audio working. My build is in my profile. I am running OS X...
