okay NEVERMIND lol I just pulled something to the trash and the familiar *krtsh* sound effect happened. Then it dawned on me ... I used the +/- volume buttons to test the audio, but apparently that doesn't make a noise per default in 10.10 all is well thanks anyways

how do i clone my system? link? also, not endorsing piracy but... if you know your sources, it's not really a security issue. but of course, never ever install stuff from dodgy sources. my parent's PCs are full of shady pc cleaner suites they downloaded from god knows where and they run slow as...

Why Hackintosh is superior to The Real Thing

for me it's just moneh. and the beauty of building the thing yourself. love that. oh and you can exchange parts easily. i thought hackintosh would just be a side project for me and my next rig would be a real mac again, but it all runs so smoothly i think i'll stick with it.

    Security Level of x86 Installs

I think as long as you're using somewhat trustworthy sources like tonymac or one of the other tried and true hackintosh resources, you should be fine. i mean, idk, i haven't read the source code... but if there was anything shade involved, you'd probably know. too many people use those tools...
