I think I had the same problem (at first) with my Win disc too. It would NOT let me install on a GUID disc. AFTER I installed OSX once, I forgot about the trouble and tries again and it worked! I think it had something to do with the OSX install creating a valid EFI and Win 7 x64 supporting EFI...

Not quite. There is an ALC665 codec patch out for a similar dell (HM57 chipset), but the DSDT and kext enablers don't quite map the sound card correctly for the HM67, so it complains. I have been trying to decipher the DSDT tables to see if I can't fix it, but it may be a bit above my skill...

try using "-v" when you boot and look for messages that look bad. "failed to load" "can't find", etc. Whatever you see, post it here. (Some people take screen shots with a camera and post those.)

It has to do with the sleep mode setting. It shouldn't hurt anything or prevent booting. If it bothers you though, you can mod your boot file in the /Extra folder. Search the forum for "GeneratePStates" for the Keys. If you are having problems booting, it is something else though.

After much tinkering, I finally have my laptop to near working order. Maybe. Method: iBoot + MultiBeast + 10.6.7 combo w/DSDT Observations: without DSDT, everything but sound and the wireless (intel) work ... and USB. The DSDT mods are not hard, especially with the appropriate software...

Re: Boot CD Only (solved) and no USB drives OK - now that I am booting from the HDD, I had to install the AppleACPIPS2Nub for keyboard and mouse, and that works great! But I can no longer read the appended files on appended CDs. I see the files that were burned in the first session though...

Re: OK, I give up. I need more info... CD Boot CHECK, USB Broken So, as far as I can tell, it was the mach kernel. apparently there is a difference between the official 10.7.4 kernel and the 10.7.4 kernel on iBoot, although from what I read, it didn't seem like it was patched. One down, one to go!
