    nv_disable=1 not working on clover

Title says it all. The problem is my GTX 970, every time I boot using clover, nv_disable=1 or not, I still see NVDAStartup: Official. It autorestarts after something about bluetooth, too fast to see. So the question is, why isn't nv_disable=1 working?

    Chimera bootloader can't load Windows

Ah, ok. Well, I guess I'll probably just deal with it, as I really don't feel like installing OS X again.

    Chimera bootloader can't load Windows

Ok, before actually stating my problem, I'll explain how I installed everything, because it's a bit odd. Ok, I built my PC, and immediately installed Windows 10 Preview from USB to test my hardware. Everything was good, so I wiped my drive, set it up as GPT, and installed Yosemite. That all...

    1440p monitor stuck at 1080p

And anyway, my HDMI cable seems to be failing, causing random single green pixels to fly all over the screen. More than kind of annoying.

    1440p monitor stuck at 1080p

Yeah, since there's no easy conversion between 1440p and 1080p, everything looks like crap right now haha.

    1440p monitor stuck at 1080p

Yeah, I'll probably just end up doing that. I decided to load up switchresx, and everything was very blurry.

    1440p monitor stuck at 1080p

I would, but I don't really want to pay for it.

    1440p monitor stuck at 1080p

Yes, I have displayport, but my monitor does not, so I would have to order a displayport adapter. There must be a way force 1440p, I doubt I'm the first one to have this problem.

The dreaded old topic: Nvidia GT 540M (1GB)

You might try turning IGPEnabler to 0, other than that, I'm not sure what you could do other than trying a fresh install.

The dreaded old topic: Nvidia GT 540M (1GB)

I know that was happening to me when using my integrated graphics(HD 4600) without GraphicsEnabler=Yes before I got my 970 working, so it would be cool if you could post the current boot flags. Also, you could try getting Nvidia's drivers if you haven't already.

    1440p monitor stuck at 1080p

So the title pretty much says it all. I have it hooked up to the HDMI port on my GPU. From what I can tell, OS X can't output 1440p over HDMI? If anyone knows of a way to force 1440p, it would be appreciated. I know my hardware can do it because I can do it in Windows 10, but not OS X.

Maximus VII Hero installation hangs on [IOBluetoothNCIController][Start] -- completed

So far, stable without -no-zp! Just out of curiosity, what does it do?

Maximus VII Hero installation hangs on [IOBluetoothNCIController][Start] -- completed

From what I can tell, it's an OS X limitation. Might talk to some people and see if there's a way to force 1440p, because I know my hardware can do it. So far, sleep seems to work, however audio does not work after sleeping, unless I use a USB sound card. I'll go ahead and try it without -no-zp...

Although, how would I put -no-zp into the boot file?

Maximus VII Hero installation hangs on [IOBluetoothNCIController][Start] -- completed

Oh yeah, forgot to update with current situation. Currently completely stable while using the 970. Boot flags are " -v nvda_drv=1 -no-zp" Although, I've found that for some reason it won't transmit 1440p over HDMI... will be getting a Displayport adapter.

    Nvidia drivers won't install

So earlier today I finally got my hackintosh working, but I can't get the nvidia drivers to install, so I can't use my GTX 970. So, I went and downloaded what I know to be the latest drivers, and when I tried to install them, it said that my OS was 10.10.1 instead of 10.10.2, so I updated it...

That worked! No crashes so far. The amazing wifi speed of 2kb/sec is blowing my mind. But seriously, this is gonna take a while.
