Yes!!!!!!!!!
It works! wooooooo
Thank @rehabman and to to the other guy for the kext! Woo!!!!!!
Yu were saying something about sleep and you wanted to test right?
I can confirm that the headphones...
Not mine....
Mines just had the applehda kext and a readme file saying to set to audio layout 3, the person in the thread with this codec has the same one...some guy named "mirone" built it.
reinstalling a combo update to be sure though... I will report back I feel I'm close
Arghhhh!
Ok where would i get a correct version, i remember getting a patched applehda and modifying my dsdt, there would be no reason for me to have a patched IOAudio kext at all from the guides I read...
what does this mean...
4/10/15 5:36:05.566 PM com.apple.kextd[12]: WARNING - Invalid signature -67062 0xFFFFFFFFFFFEFA0A for kext "/Users/protoolsfor96/Downloads/CodecCommander.kext"4/10/15 5:36:05.572 PM com.apple.kextd[12]: /Users/protoolsfor96/Downloads/CodecCommander.kext - no compatible...
Hmm....
Ok so i need to find out why it isnt loading then...
thats the issue
I have it installed through kext wizard so its in the right place but for whatever reason not loading...
check in ioreg where? under what?
Im trying the kext uploaded ...ill see how that goes.
Edit: Nope nothing, although...... I can get sound after sleep through the headphones but not the speakers now.... But the headphone distortion is still there....goes away if I mute a channel but then its...
Ok thanks, unfortunately for me I think its a lost cause, Even a new build voodoo doesnt fix the headphone issue ....so I would just be guessing values which is even more frustrating...Dark void mentioned another technique whcih confused me even more...Plus I installed hda-verb to the /usr/bin...
sorry to keep bumping but this is the only thing stopping e from a perfecto hack
Ok @rehabman Im trying to go along with the method you posted before, since the pin values I have after changing my codec Id doesnt seem to work at all...I also want to try this to fix the no audio after sleep...
so its plug and play???
I edited the codec id and coverted the hex to decimal....
Here is what it looks like now....why isn't it working?
</dict>
<key>Realtek ALC255</key>
<dict>
<key>Check Infinitely</key>
<false/>
<key>Codec Id</key>
<array>...
Check them where....I'm confused, I have a different codec than all three of the ones you posted, how would codec commander know to look for my build?
whats the node?
I see... so without a working voodoohda headphone, its almost impossible to fix the applehda is what you are saying...
Ill poke around and make sure I have the latest build
the issue where you have to mute one channel to get it to sound good, otherwise its garbled and noisy....
Is there anything that I can quickly modify in the info.plist?
I tried voodoohda whenm i first got my laptop, the headphone issue existed even then unlike you where it disappeared...., applehda is much better for me.
Are you saying I have to load in voodoohda? I have a patched alc255 applehda that works fine except for the headphone issues...
@rehabman, You mentioned you fixed this in the "hd4400 fix" other thread could you maybe upload your codec commander kext or walk those of us with this issue through the process?
Thanks!
Did you look at the wrong one ioreg? here is a screenshot of hdef@3 currently
...
it says HDAU like you advised or am I missing something..
Also when searching my DSDT and SSDT, I find no HDEF or B0D3's ....just HDAU's...
The "hda-gfx onboard 1" is located in my ssdt-1.....
Im a little...
