yep, it's a good one.
I picked one up on ebay and it worked right away. I mentioned it in an earlier post:

don't remember... maybe it was an assumption from my efforts with 10.6.x
I'll try it without them and see what happens.
haven't notice the fan... I'll...
sorry, I was never able to get GUID partition tables to boot on the N4110. I had to use MBR formated internal drive, which led to the method I posted (installed on an external GPT formatted drive, and copied the installation to the internal MBR formatted drive.
I ended up using the battery...
Glad to hear it's working well for you!
The way I got my internal HD to work is described in the first post of this thread when I discussed the milestones I went through. First had to make sure it was an MBR formated drive, and then had to manually install the boot0 file when the partition was...
cool! I'd love to hear how it works for you!
yes, that's pretty much how I did it. Working well or me.
I don't know yet. I haven't tried it, but it sounds like it would simplify things. If I have time and in the mood to experiment, I'll give it a try, though with everything working well for...
I have the same onboard ethernet. The Realtek driver included the version of Multibeast I used works with this (see first post). I think you can also find it as a download on Realtek's site.
I'm not sure why you want everything on 10.6.7 to work, other than an academic exercise. It all works...
btw, I finally replaced the Intel 1030 wireless/BT combo card with a dell DW1510 card (broadcom BCM94322HM8L) that I bought on ebay. I lose the internal bluetooth, but I don't need it. And if I ever do need it I have a tiny RocketFish BT usb adapter which seems to work well.
The DW1510 is...

I managed to get dual boot running, using a combination of the guide I posted for the N4110 and one of the many dual boot guides out there for dual booting. I first installed windows 7 on the second partition of a MBR formatted drive, and then installed Lion on the first partition...
Working fine so far with my Dell 14R N4110.
Removed sleepenabler.kext prior to running the combo update (per tony's recommendation).
Then rebooted and reinstalled sleepenabler.kext with kext utility and rebooted.
so far, so good
Glad to hear you got it working!! Congrats!
Regarding the issues you describe, actually my system is remarkably stable. The only time I see a KP is when booting after doing a 'restart' from windows 7 and then selecting osx. I don't see a KP if I do 'shutdown' instead of 'restart'.
I have no...
I think that error message is saying that fdisk couldn't find the input file. I'm guessing you were trying to install boot0 manually using a guide like tonymacx86's here:
http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2009/11/ ... -from.html
I'm guessing you cd'ed to the root of the chimera/chameleon folder...
bummer... the only thing I can suggest right now is try formatting the drive to mbr with another program (eg windows repair disk, or a bootable gparted disk) and start over.
looks ok...
When you try to boot from the internal drive, I assume the DVD drive is empty and nothing is plugged in any of the usb ports. Try hitting F12 during bootup and specifically selecting the internal drive to boot from. If you're still getting an Operation System not found error, then...
not necessarily... just run the Terminal program (found in Applications->Utilities) and run it there. I assume you've got snow leopard installed somewhere that you can use iBoot to boot into.
strange...
Can you boot with iBoot and report the output of "diskutil list" from the command line?
and indicate which disk/partition you've installed Lion and Chimera on and trying to boot from?
